When Creativity Clicks: Our LEGO® QR Code That Actually Works!

Every so often, a LEGO® build stops you in your tracks — and this one certainly did!

My son decided to take on a rather unusual challenge: to build a working QR code entirely out of LEGO® plates. Using our company QR code as his reference, he photographed it, zoomed right in, and then began carefully mapping it out stud by stud on an extra-large base plate.

He used black and white LEGO® plates (the flat ones, not bricks — though you could use those too) and spent hours counting, checking and aligning every little square to perfection. Once the final plate was in place, we stood back and thought, “Could it really work?”

And yes — it did!
We scanned it with a phone and, to everyone’s amazement, it took us straight to The Creative Brick Company website — the home of LEGO® workshops, after-school clubs and creative building sessions for children and adults.

It’s such a simple but powerful reminder that LEGO® is more than just a toy — it’s a tool for creativity, problem-solving, teamwork and innovation. Whether it’s children testing ideas during one of our LEGO® clubs, or adults collaborating during our corporate LEGO® team building workshops, those little bricks have endless potential to bring people together and spark imagination.

If you fancy giving it a go, why not try making your own working QR code out of LEGO®? It’s a fantastic mindful LEGO® project for children (or grown-ups!) and a great way to mix technology with creativity.

And if you scan our LEGO® QR code, you’ll see exactly where those bricks can take you — straight to a world of hands-on LEGO® activities, creative events and team workshops with The Creative Brick Company.
